Samman joined the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre in September 2022 to assist the Leadership Team in supporting high quality research delivery, and sits on both the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) LGBT and BAME networks.

She started her NHS career in 2017 as administrator to the Paediatric Critical Care (PCC) Education Team at MFT, before moving on to become a Clinical Trials Assistant for the PCC Research Team. She later became Clinical Trials Assistant for both the PCC and General Paediatric Research Teams, where she covered all aspects of trial set-up, data maintenance and support, in addition to providing support as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) advocate for both teams.

Prior to joining the NHS, Samman worked as a Teaching Assistant, and an Outreach Teaching Assistant for SEN students across Greater Manchester, in addition to volunteering for addiction and homelessness advocacy non-profits.

She has both a BA (Hons) and MA in Literature and Creative Writing from Manchester Metropolitan University, where she specialised in Poetry and Critical and Cultural Theory.
