Senior Research Project Manager – Living With and Beyond Cancer

Alice has worked across a range of research management and operational roles since graduating with a BSc in Biology from Durham University. Before joining the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre, she spent six years as Operations Manager at the NIHR Great Ormond Street Hospital Biomedical Research Centre, where she provided high-level operational support to enable the BRC to deliver its strategic, financial, and performance objectives.

She also has experience from the charity and not-for-profit sector, having held roles at Cancer Research UK supporting the delivery of clinical research grant schemes, as well as completing a secondment at the Academy of Medical Sciences, where she developed several international funding schemes for early career researchers. Earlier in her career, she worked in administrative roles within the NHS and in editorial publishing for medical journals.

Alice joined the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre in 2026 as Senior Research Project Manager for the Living With and Beyond Cancer Theme. In this role, she is responsible for driving delivery of the Theme’s objectives, including monitoring progress and impact, overseeing financial management, and developing and implementing projects that add value to the Theme.
