Professor Jørgen Vestbo becomes Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences
Professor Jørgen Vestbo, Manchester Biomedical Centre Respiratory Theme Lead, has been elected to join the Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
Professor Vestbo’s election to the fellowship recognises his outstanding contribution to biomedical and health science, leading research discoveries, and translating developments into benefits for patients and the wider society.
On receipt of this prestigious award Professor Vestbo said:
I am very honoured to be elected and proud of the recognition of the research we carry out in respiratory medicine in general and COPD in particular here in Manchester.
