Online event – Interventions for disease prevention – 11 January 2021

Part of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Training Series, this event will discuss and develop understanding around lifestyle interventions influencing disease occurrence and re-occurrence from BRC Research Themes.

Audience: Staff and students engaged in or supporting all P4 medicine research affiliated with the BRC, CRF, The University of Manchester and/or Health Innovation Manchester and any public or patients interested in these research areas.

Learning outcomes will include:

  • Demonstrating the importance of lifestyle interventions in disease prevention and risk reduction;
  • Understanding the psychology behind behaviour change and the best way to implement lifestyle interventions;
  • Discovering some of the preventative research, action being taken in Manchester and key contacts.
