Could you help raise awareness about Psoriasis in just 50 seconds?

This year’s Psoriasis Shout Out® will be taking place 8th – 14th October, with events in Manchester, Salford, Leeds, Newcastle and Dublin.

Psoriasis Shout Out® aims to raise awareness of psoriasis and to bring together patients with professionals working in the field of psoriasis management and research. This year, we want to mark the 50th anniversary of the UK Psoriasis Association with a creative audio project, 50 Second Shout Outs.

We will record 50 second snippets of people’s thoughts about psoriasis and psoriasis research, which will then be shared in a variety of ways – including on social media and in mini-podcasts. You can make an audio or video recording – the choice is yours.

We want to showcase the amazing work that is being done in psoriasis research and would like to invite you to highlight your work in a 50 Second Shout Out. This is an opportunity to tell the world about the aims of your current project, or to feedback about recent work you have published. Tell us why your research is important, or why you enjoy your work!

We want to share experiences, bust myths let people know what life with psoriasis is really like and showcase the amazing work that is being done in psoriasis research  so we’d like to invite you to get involved and record your own 50 Second Shout Out. You may wish to talk about how psoriasis impacts your daily life, or what you do to live well with psoriasis. Tell us what psoriasis means to you, or perhaps share your experience of participating in a psoriasis research project and why that work was important.

How to get involved

There are two ways for you to get involved: come along our recording session at the Psoriasis Shout Out® Roadshow in St Ann’s Square, Manchester, 11th October 9am – 3pm.

Or you can record your 50 Second Shout Out on your phone and send it to us. Details and instructions of how to do this are on the 50 Second Shout Out webpage.
