Public Programmes Project Manager

Emily Robinson is the Public Engagement Project Manager supporting themes within the Manchester Biomedical Research Centre on large-scale engagement projects.

Prior to joining the Public Programmes team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, she spent four years at Manchester Museum managing the Real Life Science schools programme, working closely with schools, researchers and collections to engage pupils with current research. She has a background in neuroscience and completed her undergraduate and PhD at The University of Manchester. She is passionate about communicating research in creative ways, engaging underrepresented audiences, and in supporting people to increase their confidence around and enjoyment of science.

When she’s not working, Emily enjoys having a go at new skills, especially anything crafty. She also runs a comedy club where researchers take to the stage to perform stand-up comedy about their work.
