To meet the vision and aims of the Manchester BRC, we have designed a core infrastructure team comprising project and programme managers, data and informatics specialists, industry and strategic partnership management, and a training and development team, along with PPIE and communications specialists.
Working alongside academic and clinical colleagues, this combined expertise ensures Manchester BRC delivers its bold ambitions and also ensures the identity and culture of the BRC is embedded within the Greater Manchester research and innovation landscape.
The core infrastructure team manages the £28.5 million investment from the NIHR which has funded over 300 staff and produced significant outputs and impact across Greater Manchester, and beyond, since our launch in 2017.
In addition to the day-to-day management of the contract, our core team contributes to strategic decision making and is linked in across the Governance Structure and represents the BRC regionally and nationally.
The BRC utilises a TeamScience (TS) approach that recognises and values the contributions of all members of the team. This inclusive way of working has not only] strengthened the profile of the Manchester BRC but driven forward work across the NIHR infrastructure, including the HIC and TRCs and developed new and amplified existing strategic partnerships.
