Innovation and Commercialisation
The University of Manchester Innovation Factory (MIF) drives the commercialisation of the University’s innovations and intellectual property (IP).
Their core mission is to use this IP to create positive social and economic impact. They work with academic and student inventors to identify research that has the potential to create value and then translate these into a form where they can be used to benefit society as a whole.
For researchers
Do you have a new collaborative project with a commercial partner, or commercially attractive idea you need support with? There is a wealth of support for commercial partnering across Greater Manchester, and you can link in with your local teams at The University of Manchester, MFT, NCA, The Christie, or contact the BRC Innovation Team for advise.
Our Innovator Training Scheme, run in partnership with Translation Manchester, also offers a range of online resources for researchers, with Innovator Insight blogs on range of topics, and sessions available to watch back in full on the BRC YouTube channel.
