Our strategy

Our research focuses on areas where we believe we can have the greatest impact.

Precision medicine is an emerging approach for disease treatment and prevention that takes into account individual variability in genes, environment, and lifestyle for each person.  This approach allows doctors and researchers to predict more accurately which treatment and prevention strategies will work best.

Our research is underpinned by a P4 medicine strategy, which takes this personalised approach one step further to deliver care which is:

  1. Predictive;
  2. Preventative;
  3. Personalised;
  4. Empowers patients to participate in healthcare

P4 medicine is only made possible by advances in technology, informatics and data sciences and systems medicine (looking at all the different aspects that make up an individual human being).

Our Rapid Translational Incubator, Biomarker Platforms and Informatics and Data Sciences cross cutting themes will enable us to rapidly translate our scientific discoveries into new tests, treatments, devices and preventative measures that benefit patients.
